Watch Reps. Polis & Hastings fight for our wild horses in this video of the Rules Committee Hearing

Reps Polis and Hastings were trying to have the wording removed from Trump's 2018 budget bill that will allow for horse slaughter and the mass killing of our wild horses and burros in holding and on our federal lands. Unfortunately the vote was along party lines with the Democrats standing up for the horses and the Repukes wanting them all killed. Therefore, the wording will remain in the budget as it moves on to the Senate.
