Ramy wrote and sang this in Tahrir Square in Cairo, during the successful nonviolent movement to remove Hosni Mubarak. At times, there were 500,000 singing this song at once. The Egyptian Army arrested and Tasered Ramy for writing this. He know lives in Sweden and this song has traveled the world.
