yes, I've become such a cynic. I would also add, not all rich people are assholes or republican. Think FDR (they called him a traitor to his class) and the Kennedys (no one did more for health care reform than Nancy Pelosi was Teddy Kennedy, he made it his life's ambition). I would also add that while I don't make $250K per year, I hang with lawyers who make enough so as to not worry. And they are all liberal leaning to communist.
