Don't you wish McCartney would work that into the Opening Ceremonies? Of course for Romney he could do Fool on the Hill. Mr. Taxman? Get Back (to Where You Once Belonged)?

Who's the most arrogant, smug, snooty excuse for a candidate's wife that I have EVER seen. And I'm gonna be 60 years old next year. Jackie Kennedy and Teresa Heinz Kerry weren't like that! And they were both loaded with money and good breeding and class.

Hell, I never even saw laura bush be like that. Pat Nixon certainly wasn't (she of the "good republi-CON cloth coat&quot !

ann romney is OBNOXIOUS, SMUG, SNOOTY, and ARROGANT AS HELL!!!!

Michele, though! Damn. She's a hard beatin' for anyone in a popularity contest. Thurston and Lovey were outclassed from the get go.

Go, Michele!

Actually, I think Seamus would beat Romney.

Oh, you're probably all too young to remember that. She spoke fluent French. They adored her so much, President Kennedy later introduced himself thus: "I am the man who accompanied Jacqueline Kennedy to Paris, and I have enjoyed it."

But, that agent of Satan still runs neck and neck with Obama. He still could win, you know.

Also, if a Democratic presidential candidate went to Europe during a high profile event (i.e., the Olympics) and politicked a little during a US presidential election, the Repubs would be all over it. "Why is (s)he campaigning over there among those Euro-gay socialist liberals? What could they have to with *our* election over here? (S)he should be campaigning right here in Amerika. This just goes to show you how the libs are cozying up to those anti-American Euro-tards and trying to destroy Amerika."

Maybe we should be busting their chops a little for taking an American presidential campaign to Europe.

Besides the fact that this is thread is just moderately based on substance, your seemingly sincere concern for the timbre of the conversation kind of rang false. You need to be better at hiding your tells.

Though the dialog may appear juvenile to you, it does reveal how a potential commander-in-chief, and his surrogates handle the responsibilities of foreign affairs and diplomacy. The mechanics of which may appear banal on the surface, but the ability to navigate the subtleties of the disparate cultures of the world is imperative.
