He gets the immediate credit for appearing to his rubes to be confident in his innocence and if it actually came around to this, he'd have a bullshit reason for not doing it. He's done this over and over again. Remember when he said a year ago that Melania was going to have a press conference in a week about her immigration that would blow the rumors about her out of the water, or that in a week he was going to present evidence of the 3 million illegal voters?

It would be nice if the Senate Intelligence committee called his bluff and sent him a subpoena within an hour after he said that he was 100% willing to testify. Unfortunately, there's no chance the Republican majority is going to do that.
