"I have never in my life stood before someone who had no capacity for empathy like Mitt Romney"

Julie Goodridge was a lead plaintiff in Goodridge v. Dept of Public Health -- the lawsuit that brought same-sex marriage to Massachusetts. In this video, Goodridge shares her family's encounters with Gov. Mitt Romney, including a meeting with Romney, which Goodridge describes as "the most frustrating experience in the entire marriage case."

Being able to get anything you want on a whim allows one to avoid uncomfortable feelings. Any problem can just be given to someone else if it seems too much to handle. Not every rich person acts this way but apparently Rmoney seems to be be terribly deficient in basic human skills that would open him up to empathy. But then, his lack of empathy is what allowed him to destroy so many people's futures just to make himself rich.

as is evident in rmoney's case.

no conscience or consideration for others to hold back his drive to grab as much loot as possible, to avoid as much taxes as possible. from screwing workers and investors of companies bain dealt with to taking advantage of even his co-workers at bain to dodging taxes, rmoney apparently let nothing get in the way of amassing more money than he could ever spend.

Probably since the rise of Reaganism.

I really thought W didn't have a chance; I was wrong. Then I thought it can't get worse than W; it appears I'm wrong again.

I suppose I can take comfort in knowing I'm at least I'm consistent...
