Trump's Weakness, Revealed - 'He lost. He choked. Like a dog, he choked'

March 28, 2017, at 7:00 a.m.

Excerpts:

"It's absolutely pathetic," Trump once said. "He lost. He choked. Like a dog, he choked. And now it's time for somebody else. We're going to win, folks. We're not going to be choking. I don't choke."

That was during the campaign when Trump hammered the Republicans' 2012 presidential nominee, Mitt Romney. But he could have been talking about himself. In negotiations over the American Health Care Act, the GOP's ill-fated health care bill, Trump did not lead (he instead golfed), blamed others for his failure to lead, did not understand the lethal impact of a bill he called the best, threatened those refusing to get in line, and then, when humiliation was in sight, vowed revenge on the Republicans who exposed his weakness. This master negotiator was anything but. He not only choked, but he lost to Rep. Mark Meadows, head of the House Freedom Caucus and former small town real estate developer, who looked the vaunted Manhattan mogul in the eye until he blinked.

Friday's defeat exacerbates a growing problem: Trump's legitimacy. He lost the popular vote. He's under FBI investigation. He's violating ethics laws. If Trump were a strong president, he might weather the gathering storm. But on Friday he demonstrated profound weakness, and he revealed that weakness to Republicans who were at best ambivalent about the prospect of a President Donald Trump.

COWARDLY, CRAVEN behavior on the part of those he disdains (for whatever reason) is "like a DOG!" He's obviously not an animal person, and doesn't have a pet (Thankfully!). Did he have a bad experience with a dog in childhood? I hope so.
