Anderson Cooper reduces Trump-aide Carter Page to weaseling, stuttering mess

Takeaway: He was in "rallies" with Trump, not "meetings". He said "meetings", because rallies count as meetings in russian culture and he used the russian definition of the word.

It's 1984-esque for law-enforcement wanting to see his emails.
He can say that he believes that the Clinton-campaign was running a conspiracy to influence the election via agents in the intelligence community... but the Russians hacking the DNC? He has honestly never thought about that.

- "Do you really believe that Russia doesn't meddle in internal affairs of other countries?"
- "I don't know anything about that."
- "You don't know anything about that???"
- "Listen... they may... I think all countries, like the US, if you look at what happened in the Ukraine..."

He cannot tell you whether the Trump-campaign sent him a cease-and-desist letter or not.
- "There were no letters or you're not allowed to talk about them?"
- "Well... you know... he.... he... I... I... I mean what's really important here is..."

- "President Trump named you as a member of his foreign-policy-team (during the campaign). Were there any meetings?"
- "You know... I... I... I really have no comment on that."

- "While you were in Moscow (for your speech at the university), did you meet with members of the russian government or somebody affiliated with it or who might report back to it?"
- "Listen... I... I... I..."

...is low level. He may not be revealing much because he probably has nothing to reveal. Page doesn't seem to even know what his own agenda is - he hasn't thought out a message to relay on these interview shows he's doing. Page has not been taken into any important confidence, from what I see - so he's not going to be able to reveal any important information.

like him are just a distraction. None of the big players in this government take over will ever come on a show like this. Meanwhile Tillerson, Bannon et all are busy pulling Ryan's and McConnell 's strings making sure they get the Supreme court and enough reps elected to change the Constitution.

14. I watched this whole mess

and can't figure out just why Page would submit to an interview like this....and on a Friday night when most people aren't watching. He appeared insanely guilty of anything and everything. It was uncomfortable to watch. What was the payoff ans what was he trying to accomplish? Is this when all of the traitors start ratting each other out? The whole interaction was just plain weird. Who's next? Roger Stone? Manafort? I keep waiting for one of these yoyos to disappear as an "example" of what happens when you try to jump ship.

Point of parliamentary order!!!
If one is already a "weaseling, stuttering mess", can they be further reduced?

I remain utterly aghast that Americans are not ALL outraged by this mess of a so-called president, the GOP henchmen enablers and his completely incompetent gang of fools. Unreal.
