Are the Republicans Looking for their Reichstag Fire Moment to Take Over? (Original Post) thomhartmann Feb 2017 OP
I don't think so. For GOPers, a Reichstag moment may not be good for BUSINESS. Eyeball_Kid Feb 2017 #1

Bannon, on the other hand, is the one who is likely planning for such an event. He doesn't give a crap about money. He wants war.

Perhaps the MIC would enjoy another round of high-minded windfall profits, but other sectors of the economy would take a severe hit. The same is true for Trumpy's deportation efforts. The GOP can't be happy not only about the economic impact of losing a huge labor pool, but also the expense of somewhere around 500 BILLION in efforts to deport a very productive segment of the work force.

GOPers are slow to react to these pending disasters. They may believe that they're trapped by party loyalty, but when their donors start to feel the pain of capital loss and start calling up their patsies, they'll surprisingly turn "fiscal" and oppose Bannon/Trump.

Please note at about 16:01 when Trumps talks about Nancy Pelosi and the failing Democratic Party and a One Party system..

Read between the lines

I honestly believe Republicans and many Trumps supporters believe liberals are enemies.
Take a look around at all the die-hard right wing radicals..yes they would love a new Nazi style dictatorship

Judging by ICE, NSA, etc., they're just barely getting started. I'd say we're still a year away.
