'It's all about Iran! Don't be duped by US & UK, "the great humanitarians" - remember Iraq'

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

Russia and China have vetoed the latest Western-backed draft resolution on Syria at the UN Security Council. RT exclusively talks to one of the men who raised his hand in that 'NO' vote - Moscow's envoy to the United Nations, Vitaly Churkin.

So Russia does not care about the Syrians suffering from Assad's brutal repression of their demonstrations, nor about he fact that erstwhile high-level supporters of Assad have sought refuge in the West and denounced Assad's regime.

Russia doesn't have a leg to stand on here, and this ambassador is disingenuous and unpersuasive.

Typical, stonefaced (two-faced even) diplomat. Reminiscent of the Soviet era.

Americans are very used to the lying by our own government. Don't think we will fall for the lies of Russia.

And what do you want to bet that MS. Assad has sought refuge in Russia and this diplomat knows it very well?

RT can be an excellent network, but this is one of a handful of situations where it should be viewed with considerable skepticism.

That said, Syria is a long-time Russian ally, just as Israel is a long-time ally of the United States.

The list of U.S. vetoes of U.N. resolutions criticizing Israel is very long, but you won't hear a lot of condemnation of those vetoes on U.S. networks.

It would be an over-simplification to say the relationships are equivalent, but it should provide a little food for thought at least.

They have very little credibility. Sometimes Thom Hartmann has some interesting guests for example, but i take anything from RT with a pinch of salt. Especially when they start with their semi conspiracy theories. I bet Alex Jones watches RT a lot.
