You can tell by their clothes. One guy wears beads and they all smell bad. We were gonna get them for a dance after the basketball game but my best pal warned me you can never tell how many will show up...sometimes the guy in the fur coat doesn't show up and sometimes he does show up only he brings a big bunch of crazy people with him and they dance all over the place. None of the kids at my school like these Mothers...specially since my teacher told us what the words to their songs meant.

of Freak Out, the song names (never mind the lyrics), extend from the past to the now:

Hungry Freaks, Daddy
I Ain't Got No Heart
Who Are The Brain Police?
Go Cry On Somebody Else's Shoulder
Motherly Love
How Could I Be Such A Fool?
Wowie Zowie
You Didn't Try To Call Me
Anyway The Wind Blows
I'm Not Satisfied
You're Probably Wondering Why I'm Here
Trouble Every Day
Help, I'm A Rock
It Can't Happen Here
The Return Of The Son Of Monster Magnet

Years ago in Germany when I was a very small boy, zere was a lot of people standing around on ze corners asking questions: "Why are you standing on ze corner, acting ze way you act, looking like you look? WHY DO YOU LOOK THAT WAY?" And they ask me and I only would say: "I don't . . . I don't know, I'm just standing 'round ze corner waiting here . . . just in . . . in ze evening, and . . . and it's so nice outside . . . the night is so nice . . . why . . . are you just asking these questions . . . "

btw,
"It Can't Happen Here" is the title of a book written by Sinclair Lewis in 1935 that describes
a tRumpian takeover of the government, complete with 'brownshirts'.
