Ms Battle has been remarkably successful in keeping her private life private, no mention anywhere of husbands, lovers, children, and no pictures of her with a partner. Perhaps with her allegedly narcissitic personality coupled with the constant travelling she found long-term commitment difficult?

Just thought it was an interesting point how little personal information on such an artist that there is; in any biography of the great & the good (and the bad) the subject's relationships & effect thereof on their careers are generally considered to be important and any future Battle biographer will need to know these things, other than that I admire her discretion. No idea what "baseless shade" is supposed to mean.

privacy and has acted in her life so as to not have raised any hint of impropriety. To assume otherwise is a baseless casting of shade. Which you did. Hence, for shame.

It of course raises another question. To wit: why answer an OP a year old to make a snide remark regarding Ms Battle?

I agree, that's the point I was making (which I think you misunderstand), & I don't assume otherwise. I resent the suggestion it was "snide". As for the date of the post it was the first one I happened to come across that was appropriate for the subject, didn't really expect any constructive insights.

I appreciate your efforts to defend Ms Battle's reputation but you seem to have convinced yourself that I intended to impugn it, which indeed I do deny. It's to her credit that a veil lies over this part of her life, indeed if there had been some kind of "imbroglio" then we'd probably know about it. This is becoming repetitive, I suggest we give it a rest.
