The campaign made a deal with their father that they would perform for free, but that he would get a stand to sell their CDs on the next campaign-stop.

The campaign neither set up a stand for him, nor did they reserve some space where he could have set up his own stand.

I think at some point at one show there was a stand, but no one was watching it (the grifter daddy expected security or something) and the crowd assumed those were party favors and stole 'em all!

There's no nice way to say it--they are untalented little shits. Woefully untalented. Very small and terribly insular Religious School Talent Show untalented! But, even at that, the untalented little shit is worthy of his or her hire!!!
