Remade in the original Star Trek, A Balance of Terror.

Let's see if this works: yup!



And Mark Lenard as the Romulan opponent. Later cast as Spock's father throughout the rest of the series, and the original cast films, the Vulcan ambassador.

Of course, the original was The Enemy Below, with Robert Mitchum, Kurt Jergens, and Theodore Bikel. A really good film. Produced and directed by Dick Powell.

so why are they singing in English? It would be a better film if the Germans spoke German, with English subtitles where necessary.
