"Pinky and the Brain " was originally part of a show called, "Animaniacs" that was shown in the mid 90s..Animaniacs had some of the most biting satire imaginable, even though it was supposed to be a children's show, and was broadcast as such. The appeal to adults went beyond casual, those of us that watched then, realized the special nature of the show. It appealed to children on a level, and had a special appeal to adults on another level. Produced by Stephen Spielberg, it was very successful for a while, and about 100 eps were made..
...After a couple of years or so, "Pinky and the Brain" were given their own show, and episodes were made for that program. I think it lasted 2 or 3 years..Those were also incredibly satirical, as is this one in this post. The Brain..always has a plan to .."take over the world" where as Pinky is the voice saying..well...what about this problem in your plan. Pinky is presented as less than brilliant. kind of slow compared to the .."Brain", but the voice of common sense that always wins out in the end..(at least most of the time, I have not seen them all,)...
But of single importance.....these shows are funny...for the characters are funny once you get to know them..I got many of the shows on video tape as I have all of the Animaniac episodes too.
