I really am ambivalent when I hear Stooge's songs advertising cruise lines, luxury cars - Iggy and "Adventures in Babysitting" - but artists and anarchists got to eat and retire, too - so I guess it's alright.

I saw the Deadboys and Stiv Bator back in the day - now Stiv took an epic rock 'n' roll punk exit - but the Stooges remain unmatched.

Never mind the bollocks.

Between their extremely short sets, they'd sit at our table - we ran a tab!

I got thrown out of the bar by a Houston police officer rent-a-cop for drunkenly "lighting one up."

Minutes later - outside - he chased us down and said, "Come on back!" - we'd run up a paid hundred dollar tab. The bar definitely wanted us back for drinkin'!

Got charged later with friend, a DUI and me, 'drunk in auto' - got released a few weeks later, hit I-10 and thumbed for Florida, after indulging in more 'hair of the dog'!

But that's another story!

Saw Stiv Bators' next band - "Lords Of The New Church" - a couple times, in Tulsa, OK, after rehab! (my rehab)

Never crossed paths with Iggy. But Stiv had to be cut from the same cloth.
