New video just surfaced of Republican nominee Donald Trump giving an interview to entertainment TV program EXTRA in 2012 in which he excused and defended female teachers who rape underage students. Even EXTRAs interviewer was shocked by the reality TV stars casual, yet firm dismissal of what are plainly sex crimes:
TRUMP: Well, I dont think the male students have been hurt by it. In fact, theyre going around bragging about it as I understand it.
EXTRA: Wow!
TRUMP: I dont see a lot of damage done. But its a very unusual situation. I would say her husband cannot be happy.

(2,315 posts)The boys must have enjoyed it (tRumpian style bragging rights).
The husband must have been upset (because I would have been).
Fifth-grade mentality in action.

In the interview, Trump said to Imus: "How would you like to be the husband of the wife that was playing around with a 14-year-old kid? Unbelievable. By the way, did you see what she looked like?"
Between them, the pair agreed she was "not bad", and Trump added: "I know a lot of guys who are trying to date her right now, Don."
Imus told his guest: "I don't know what your teachers looked like when you were in school, but..." and Trump responded: "None of them looked like that, believe me."

(17,199 posts)He used that argument today.
He defended himself against allegations of groping one woman by saying, "Have you looked at her?" So in his mind, that she wasn't attractive proves he didn't grope her.

(145,321 posts)One can commit statutory rape against both males and female minors. Trump only thinks that female minors need to be protected

(4,533 posts)I agree with the Australian parliament resolution that Trump is a revolting slug. And I know I will be attacked for this but I do think sex with young girls is worse than sex with young boys. I am certain that if a female high school teacher had seduced me, a nerdy insecure boy, it would have made me feel much better about myself and would have made my life better. You can now attack me but I am 100% certain I am correct. And I think such a high school teacher, assuming she used birth control, should not be punished. Punishing such a teacher is an unfortunate consequence of our sick puritanical past, something the Taliban might do. It IS different for girls because they face pregnancy and disapproval.
