I was leery of clicking on the video link because of that thinking it could have been killed.

The spattering effect is so realistic that I wonder if it is some kind of survival evolution. Although I can't think of why. You'd think it would attract predators more than dissuade them.

Giant squid play a big role. Samuel L. Jackson's character had a "thing" about squid!

Love this video and the music. Such a strange and majestic animal.

I remember reading that long before scientists had ever glimpsed a giant squid, they had seen terrible sucker wounds on whales and could only guess at the size and fierceness of those denizens of the abyss.
