Half the buildings in G.R. are named DeVoss. Downtown is closed on Sundays because -- you know -- Calvanist majority. G.R. is the home to the Dutch Reformed Church. Remember Blackwater? Yup! That was DeVoss family, too.

I wish Chelsea and Hillary well, but I cannot think of a less productive locale. G.R. is a political cesspool.

The voters in the city limits of Grand Rapids lean left. It is the outer areas that are some of the most far right areas you will ever see. The City vote turnout in Grand Rapids and other cities is critical for dems to win. There are a lot of voters there.
