Related: About this forumMaureen Dowd On The Con and Hillary
Whilst not exactly an enraptured fan-girl of Hillary, she does have a few observations and opinions to share with us about The Con.
I will confess, I literally LOL'd to her quip...

what we're still a bit uncertain on is her aim."

"MoDo" is all about herself. She likes to play this coquettish sort, the 'gal' that the 'boyz' like to hang out with because she's 'one of the cool ones' --it's really OLD school, that construct, and not in a good way either. We've evolved, particularly those of us who live in cities--she should try keeping up.
She'd do well to just eat some more of that MJ candy and go sit in a corner whining on debate night. Her "insights" -- such as they are -- are unwanted.
Pfffffffft.

(11,238 posts)Ever since I read that story of hers about trying the MJ edibles, and she mentioned for some reason that she was wearing green corduroy pants...I mean, talk about the telling detail. Who would admit to wearing green corduroy pants? Weird. Lol, I'll never forget that.
I completely missed that detail in her little essay!

(135,425 posts)UGH! What a stupid thing to say. She's a NYT opinion columnist, ostensibly. She's past using "innuendo" and won't be able to get away with it without looking absurd until she's Betty White's age. There's a point in time where people (regardless of gender) either look desperate or perverted when they make "sex jokes."
The botox actually makes her look older...her face is so rigid, her movements are like that of an elderly person who is afraid of breaking something.
I'm all for "Rage, rage against the dying of the light..." as much as the next person, but she is starting to become a horrid parody of herself.
