"Grise" has an especially sinister sound, doesn't it?

Why not make Trump your role model? He hasn't yet gained the "greatness" of those mentioned here, (except for McCarthy and Nixon), but just think of Trump's potential.
Pence, if you're aiming to be a prick, raise your sights. Become a major league prick.

Way to "inspire" one to "aim higher!"
Way to go, coach!
(damn, where's that "sarcasm" thingy?)
THAT WAS WRONG!
I MEANT to show SUPPORT for the post - it was QUITE CORRECT - and I was meaning to support the post - got twisted up in the response - and my response was not reflecting that.

(10,272 posts)This quote from pence is like Yosemite Sam saying he would like to imitate Emperor Palpatine. Cheney is laughing his ass off right now at this no-nothing fool.
It's not like I want to give dick any credit, but it's not like he was fooled into iraq. He was educated enough to know it was bullshit, and smart enough to sell it to the rest of the country, facts be damned.

(5,734 posts)and Pence has a perfect role model in Cheney.
Under that mild-looking face, Pence must boast a very black heart.
We would do well to pay close attention to Pence. If Trump (God forbid) does get elected, he might resign, then Pence would take over. I believe Trump has no actual plans or policies and just wants billions of dollars of free publicity, as well as smoothing the way for his Russian "friends." Once elected, it would be game over, as nothing he would propose would pass either a Democratic or a Republican congress. He would take the publicity - and the money - and run.
Beware of Pence.

(8,754 posts). . . That should drumpf be elected (horror of horrors) it would not surprise me to have him resign shortly after the election to give us President Pence. I don't think I'll sleep much tonight.

(6,539 posts)This is so funny. It's like asking Palin what newspapers she reads. Yeah, Cheney was the last GOP vice president so why not pick him? He couldn't possibly say George H.W. Bush--could he?
We should feel sorry for ol' Pencer. Look who else he has to choose from. Dan Quayle (he made "e" a joke), Ford, Spiro Agnew (who RESIGNED!), Nelson Rockefeller, NIXON (Yes NIXON!). Just think Mr. Pence, you are in line to be the next joke. You've really arrived. He's not ready for his close-up but those so-called "Conservatives" never really are.

(11,569 posts)What Pence's comment about Cheney as his vp role model reveals is his desire to be the person actually calling the presidential shots. With Trump in the White House, this could very well be the case.
