1. Perfunctory. Note how his neck is kind of stiff. Controlled & the duration of the "laugh" is minimal

Though what he might find funny I probably would find repulsive.

But I would like to hear the REAL Romney laugh.

(That is, if there is a REAL Romney.)

6. I have read a couple of stories about how there's a standing family joke about Willard tripping

, what's his wife's name?, Ann? in some kind of family athletic event, in order to win. Apparently this is considered funny.

One of the oldest forms of aggression/hostility is "humor". Doesn't mean that all humor is aggression, just a significant proportion likely is.

9. Yes. His laugh is actually hidden aggression.

That's the problem with his laugh.

Also, sometimes he has a laugh that says, "I'm just so cute."

All of that indicates a very self-involved, self-centered, spoiled rich kid mentality.

He strikes me as having almost no real empathy. And if he had any, he would hide it behind his nasty, cutesy laugh.

This is not a man who is connected to his inner feelings or comfortable showing them. He tries to act the way he THINKS he should, not the way he really feels or is. He isn't just dishonest. He is incapable of real honesty because he can't even be honest about his own feelings.

And, oddly, this connection to his inner feelings is what we all like so much about Obama as a human being. He is very sincere.

Obama doesn't have two selves fighting with each other. Doesn't mean he is perfect. Just means there is a consistency between his feelings and thoughts and his outer expression.

We might say that Obama is "natural-acting."

Anyway, that is my personal reaction, my perception.

I'm sure that Romney gets HIS feelings hurt, but when he hurts the feelings of others, he just kind of giggles. It's hard for him to reach out and feel the pain of another. Bush was like that too. He felt his own suffering, but not that of others.
