Edward R Murrow introducing PBS it's first station channel 13 in NYC 1962

It all sounds so hopeful. Now PBS has commercials and is funded by the koch brothers. Of course PBS has some great programs, but to me it doesn't live up to the hope that Murrow had for it.

Anyway, here is Murrow:

Ed Murrow knew the potential of television right from the start. He also knew it wouldn't live up to it.
