Something's wrong with media coverage of female athletes.

Sexist commentary, inappropriate interview questions, and articles focused on physical appearance not only trivializes a woman’s accomplishments, but also sends a message that her value is based on her looks, not her ability. And it’s much too commonplace.



The video is great. It shows how men would react to the same questions that are routinely asked of women athletes.

The bafflegabbers are utterly clueless. Instead of telling us what the judges are looking for and how an athlete might have lost points, they burble on about families, physical appearance, and insulting shit like "give us a twirl."

I wish TV execs would catch a fucking clue and just dispense with commentary unless it's from former Olympians who know the sport.
