2016 DEMOCRATIC PARTY PLATFORM
Preamble
In 2016, Democrats meet in Philadelphia with the same basic belief that animated the
Continental Congress when they gathered here 240 years ago: Out of many, we are one.
Under President Obama’s leadership, and thanks to the hard work and determination of the
American people, we have come a long way from the Great Recession and the Republican
policies that triggered it. American businesses have now added 14.8 million jobs since privatesector
job growth turned positive in early 2010. Twenty million people have gained health
insurance coverage...

I enjoyed that video.

Many times fiction is much more credible than non fiction.

"Huckleberry Finn" would be a great example.

So would "Grapes Of Wrath" or "Sweet Tuesday"

I'm retired and I read most of the time.

It's made me very smart.

Reading fiction is not the way to learn empathy. You learn empathy from your family. If your family tell you to treat people a certain way and to think about their feelings you will be an empathic person. I have always had empathy, but I did not always read fiction. I was; however, taught to treat people right.
