He's a really good guy. He was the lead author of VT's GMO bill. He's an organic farmer, btw. He was inspired to run for the VT House when he met Bernie when he was at UVM.

9. I'm a scientist and a citizen. As both, I have a strong negative reaction to the anti-GMO...

...wing of our party, which I rather regard as the equivalent of the creationist wing of those awful people on the other side.

We don't admit it to ourselves - although there's nothing intrinsically wrong with self criticism - but we have very severe scientific weaknesses in the Democratic Party, and this is among them.

We have a world to feed in a time of rapid climate change, the magnitude of which is escaping public attention. I simply cannot seek to further this kind of rote anti-GMO rhetoric in our party. I regard it as extremely dangerous in these very challenging times.

Not a chance that the republican will win.

Hopefully, the dem nominee, Sue Minter will beat popular moderate Lt Guv Phil Scott.
