Related: About this forum***CALIFORNIA ELECTION ALERT***MUST WATCH!
Here's an Orange County election poll worker describing the misinformation handed out in a training session. NPP voters (No Party Preference) are being advised to ask for provisional ballots. "We were lied to." NPP voters should refuse these and ask for a Democratic cross-over ballot.

(13,297 posts)a three-hour class should have been very clear about details of the ballots, with correct details
PROVISIONAL BALLOTS ARE NOT THE THING TO ACCEPT!!!

(4,753 posts)This is eyewitness to county officials committing election fraud and conspiring to commit election fraud. This should immediately become a DOJ issue.
Send this viral.

(18,998 posts)It is always put off to incompetence or just a mistake.
This will continue to happen until people get fired for it...and I don't ever remember anyone getting fired for incompetence.

I am very pleased to live in a state that voting is easy. It can be done.

This needs press. Isn't that a bit of a joke when ... who owns the press?

(1,065 posts)I wonder if Hillary supporters are spreading the word for them NOT to accept provisional ballots.
Ugh, look. If Hillary wins nomination. These guys who didn't get to vote. Will be pissed.
The end. That's all I'm saying. Might be time to start appealing to them if Hillary has it in the bag, no?

(24,010 posts)"No Party Preference" (NPP) voters must REQUEST a Democratic Party Primary ballot. DO NOT ACCEPT A "PROVISIONAL" BALLOT on that day! Only a Democratic ballot. Demand it, if necessary, and call the cops if they won't give it to you (and call Bernie's lawyers).
Reminder for those not registered yet: CA voting rules do not have any status called "Independent" or "Undeclared." Don't make the mistake of registering for the "American Independence Party" (a small rightwing party). Many have made this mistake, thinking they were registering as independents. If you register as American Independence Party (AIP), you will NOT be able to vote for Bernie Sanders. You have to register as "No Party Preference" (NPP) and REQUEST a Democratic ballot, or register as a Democrat and you will automatically be given a Dem ballot.
I don't know how this works for mail-in voting. The mail-in's are already going out. I got mine about a week ago. I'm a registered Democrat and got a Dem ballot. I do not know how I would have gone about requesting a Dem ballot as a mail-in, if I were an NPP voter, or what the deadline is (or was) for that. So all I can say is: If you are an NPP voter, GO TO YOUR POLLING PLACE ON JUNE 7. It may be too late for you to request a Dem ballot by mail.

(22,651 posts)An NPP voter will receive a non-partisan ballot, which will have no presidential candidates listed.
However, upon request, an NPP voter can instead vote the presidential ballot of the following parties:
American Independent Party
Democratic Party
Libertarian Party
Why? Each political party has the option of allowing NPP voters to vote in their presidential primary election. 135 days before the election, political parties must notify the Secretary of State's office whether or not they will allow NPP voters to vote in their presidential primary election. The above three parties notified the Secretary of State that they will allow NPP voters to request their partys presidential ballot for the June 7, 2016, Presidential Primary Election.

(9,298 posts)Was told they were restrained by Federal law not to handle these issues and was referred to SOS. But she took my name, home address and phone number and said she would pass the message on to Becerra who could handle it on the legislative side of the Voting Rights Act.
