How important are the Kentucky and Oregon primaries to the future of Bernie Sanders chances in the Democratic race? When TV media keeps telling us the race is over. Cenk Uygur and hosts of The Young Turks, break it down. Notes on fallacy reporting that 44% of West Virginia Bernie voters were Trump supporters. Tues. May 18.

(13,297 posts)AND you can still hold Hillary to 1 point in a state she previously won by double digits, AND win by double digits in Oregon and preceding states, you know the old-guard is losing their grip on their control of reality and the news cycle, AND it is time for this political revolution to usher out the old ways and welcome in the new.

(14,174 posts)Do the right thing and work to uphold traditional Democratic Party values of FDR and others. Work for working families instead of the corporate elite and the MIC. Instead she decided to literally follow the money. And in this primary she is blatantly trying to woo the disgruntled moderate Repubican, the conservative that doesn't like the tea bagger extremism....at the expense of going the other way and wooing the Democratic liberal base. Although she has been forced to temper some of her more blatant RW positions.
I think the Clintons, DWS and the DNC, and the DLC corporate board all miscalculated the temperament of the voters. The Clintons and their advisors have put all their eggs in the 'trickle down theory' 'too big to fail' advocates basket. That choice is also nice for the pocketbook. I don't think they foresaw the groundswell of all those angry Dems that feel that Obama never lived up to his promises, or at least his innuendos, of a progressive push forward. They figured there would be no competition and they could skate along just as long as they positioned themselves barely to the left of tea baggers like Cruz. (they, as everyone else, never predicted Trumps rise), but still clinging to their sugar daddies on Wall Street.
Sanders continues gaining momentum, even now with the MSM not simply ignoring him, but overtly pretending its over and concocting scenarios of Hillary vs Trump as a Fait accompli.
Whether it is now too late for Bernie to win or not, Hillary's camp must be realizing that they must at least pretend to be listening to their own base. You'd think. But it has to be more than that. Even if she wins the Presidency, Hillary and the DLC must start to listen to that base and follow through with some of Bernie's policies, or it she will fail and be primaried in 2020

(14,174 posts)After finally (potentially) winning the nomination and finally (potentially) winning the Presidency, you are dreaming. As long as she is still in good health, she has proven in the past she will scratch and claw for more power no matter who she has to ____!
And she will definitely not step aside just to allow some young progressive whippersnapper to take over from her. They may dismantle all the special favors she has worked hard to set up for her big donor friends in that one first term in hopes of a coming payday and/or the next round of highly paid corporate speeches she would land.

Bern fell behind 3 more pledged delegates if he it wasnt already hopeless But go ahead and celebrate the loss of two more primaries, if it makes u feel better.... and dont forget to keep those $27 a rollin in!
