Related: About this forumDeeply Moving Message from Bernie Sanders
Some mock Sanders for saying the same thing over and over again, but his message is one that needs to be repeated, and one which I believe that most people can agree upon.

(335 posts)All of the criticisms are likely correct about Hillary - and more.
But if she is the nominee - and let's do what we can to prevent that - it is critical we vote for her.
It's ok to be disgusted at the corporatist side of the Democratic Party and hate to vote for the lesser evil.
But let's look at a little history.
That's what happened in 1968 - giving us Nixon. And the doubling of the Vietnam War LBJ was about to end except Nixon treasonously persuaded South Vietnam not to agree to help keep the war going to help his election.
Which gave us his four Supreme Court Justices that began the modern right-wing radicalization of the court and all these terrible 5-4 rulings like allowing money to own our elections.
All to 'protest' Humphrey. We do NOT NEED to strengthen the corrupt radical right by not voting for Hillary and getting trump.

(1,514 posts)I don't like either candidate equally so I'm voting my conscience, and that's Bernie. If everyone voted for who they wanted to win instead of the lesser of two evils, we'd have an honest election. Well, I'm tired of the lesser of two evils.

(335 posts)But when not enough people agree, it's the lesser of two evils.
How tired will you get of a trump presidency?

(2 posts)So it certainly bears repeating. Meanwhile Clinton could fill a book with her vague and mostly empty rhetoric.

(2 posts)Of course my appreciation for his message goes well beyond the speeches. I have spent time reviewing both candidate's web sites, Bernie's policy issues are detailed and tackle the root of the problems. Hillary's policy proposals tend to be full of promissory wording with little actual details, i.e. "We'll fight for... We'll do everything we can..." etc. Just shows how truly dumbed down our society is. With all the countless hours corporate media dedicates to horse-race nonsense (not to mention the simplistic "Go team go!" attitude supporters display when talking about their candidate) you would think they could have spent some time actually studying the candidate's proposed solutions and doing a compare and contrast on them.

(20,453 posts)We fought (rather, our parents and their parents' generation) for this country, so it's our turn...
That's the only time this, "It's MY turn" phrase is going to be put to use... It's MY turn to keep fighting.
It's OUR turn to keep fighting...
It's THAT important.

We have not seen anyone in my lifetime saying the things that Bernie Sanders is saying but I hope Bernie continues to say them and I hope we will have many more people saying those things in the future.
Go Bernie!!!
