Bill Maher, Rachel Maddow, And Reason’s Nick Gillespie Have Epic Showdown Over Fast & Furious

VIDEO here: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/bill-maher-rachel-maddow-and-reasons-nick-gillespie-have-epic-showdown-over-fast-furious/

On his show tonight, Bill Maher ripped into Republicans for making the Fast & Furious scandal out to be more, well, scandalous than it is. Rachel Maddow piled on by arguing that the GOP’s primary motivations for pursuing the scandal are conspiratorial in nature. Towards the end of the discussion, Reason editor Nick Gillespie called out both Maher and Maddow for always playing favorites with the Democrats over the Republicans. Yes, it got personal. --snip--

FOAD, whining baby repig. They love dishing it out, and they love dictatorships, and they love getting everything their way. But anything less than that turns them into a bunch of sniveling slime.

...and what's a Libertarian, other than a Republican who smokes pot?

There ended up being very little intelligent debate from anyone, aside from the US News guy who didn't seem to feel like trying to talk over Gillespie, Maddow and Maher. Rachel's comment about "leave me alone about Romneycare" did strike a nerve with me. I support Romneycare. Why? Because it is good policy. I don't care that it was instituted by an idiot, it's still a good policy. Even Maher was a bit surprised that she wouldn't admit to supporting Romneycare...because it's almost the same thing as Obamacare. Rachel is a very smart woman, I hate that she refuses to support the policy because it was from a Republican.

Gillespie looked like an idiot on the fracking discussion. He started off with a legitimate counter-argument, but then turned into a fracking appologist. He sounded like a fracking industry talking point.

I occasionally watch Maher's show. He often claims he is a bit of a libertarian. I think this showed how much BS that claim is. When put with an actual Libertarian, it was obvious that he wasn't going to agree with him on anything besides the war on drugs.

Iisa and Maher are pretty good friends from what I hear. Bill won't trash Daryl. Sorry folks. It's like whenever Ann Coulter comes up. Bill will and has defended her.Love Bill but I hate some of his hateful friends.

but apart from that, I love Bill sometimes and other times he is annoying as hell. But really he's a comedian, not a deep-thinking pundit (though he likes to pretend!).

right off the bat when he says the proper response to Waco should have been disbanding the ATF and he's outraged that they not only are still around but now they're in charge of explosives.

I ran into a Right Wing gun nut who claimed the government and the Liberal Media exaggerated the threat of gangsters in Chicago to take away our right to own machine guns and hand grenades.

Who the hell are these people defending themselves from? The Federal Government and the UN? Or is it that they live in fear because they know they're assholes and know that in a sane world they deserve a punch in the mouth?
