The corporations were poised to take over this country. But were we ever taught that in American History class in school? If we had been, then perhaps people would not be so darned passive and complacent, and would be more inclined to fight for their democracy.

This just may turn out to be the most iconic moment of his campaign, a moment that will resonate prophetically down through the ages, no matter which way the election goes. Let's hope that this election, and our country, goes in the direction of "of the people, by the people and for the people", and not down the path of oligarchy and perdition. And Bernie did not make his delivery in a dramatic, bombastic manner, in front of huge crowds of people, but he made it in the simple, humble, unassuming manner of the original Gettysburg Address. Bravo!
