Prince absolutely SHREDDED the guitar in this number!!! I absolutely loved it!! The whole performance. I love the song. Amazing performance!!! A true genius and one of the last great performers.

Not taking sides here. An incredible solo but Petty kept singing over the solo and Prince finally got in front of him. Then he did the fall backwards thing and the walk off. I am sure Prince expected to always determine how things went.

My 2 cents.

When you get farther into the solo (after Prince leans into the crowd), you will see Petty and Prince both crouch a little and work with each other. I think this was more a case of Petty being taken by surprise by Prince's strong effort than anything else.
