(4,280 posts)I hope the investigation turns up whatever has happened not only in New York (by far the worse) but other States as well. This really is awful and the Democratic Party will not benefit.

(14,176 posts)This all smells like some kind of test run for the general. Not just New York. They are fine tuning the multi front assault on democracy for November. Voter registration switching, closing poll stations, ID laws, shorter hours, and in some cases hacking machines to switch votes. The moneyed elite, turd way Dems, together with old money traditional Republicans that don't want their party turned over to tea bagger yahoos getting together behind the scenes to make sure that one of their own wins eventually.

(45,984 posts)Many saw their registration get switched from Democratic to something else, but not removed from the rolls. Even a millennial who didn't vote in 2014 after voting from Obama in 2012 might still be registered (in California, where I live, he would be dropped from the rolls), but the Democratic Party's poobahs could make sure he couldn't vote as a Democrat because of "inactivity." Therefore, if this turns out to be manipulation of voter rolls by establishment Democrats with an eye to depressing the vote for Bernie Sanders, no one should be surprised.
Many will be able cast provisional ballots, but it may take a favorable court ruling to get them counted.
