TYT discusses Racism: "Obama Heckled By Daily Caller Reporter During Immigration Remarks"

A discussion of what the nature of what civilized press coverage should be.

I know this has been covered on other forums in other contexts.

Should Romney get the same treatment from the left that Obama got from the Koch brothers' funded press today?

Even Fox news's Shep Smith and Chris Wallace shot down this idiot,
This Moran had an agenda to fabricate, distort, and interrupt the highest
position in the world, Epic fail by the daily crapper, All Obama did is back
his team, NO LAW was signed, he just backed the IDEA. Every politician backs
his party, Grover Norquist anybody ?

I have a huge problem with this line of thought.
This is a republican view in my opinion
The republicans take this view so they can try to control every country they disagree with
This is part of the reason we are thought of as the bullies of the world
The President of the USA is no more important than any other leader of a country

"Leader of the Free World" stuff. Back when the United States gave the world the false choice of Capitalism or Communism as if there was nothing in between and presented Capitalism as "Freedom" and Communism as "Enslavement". Further, they presented Capitalism as "Good" and Communism as "Evil",....as in, actual Satanic Evil with a capital "E".

The Right Wing still feels that way and anything that they see as critical of Capitalism is automatically un-American, Godless Communism that will not only enslave us all but damn us all to Hell. They act like even TALKING about it is dangerous and act like people will be taken over like a fifties sci-fi alien invasion flic. They feel it should be wiped out or Timmy will never see Lassie again.

The right wing wanted to make sure that message was muddled.

They pulled this stunt with Rush saying Obama broke the law with a temporary stay on the deportation of youngsters who were born here.

The heckler went with the Republican line that Democrats favor foreigners over Americans in two questions as Obama was leaving.

To answer your question more directly, I say NO. We can't do the same thing. We don't have classes of Americans we hate like the Republicans do.

This sneak attack was a dog whistle for their politics of hatred. We don't even hate Republicans, at least our candidates don't.

The Democratic Party is inclusive and snarks and pot shots are never about making things work for everyone, but to divide people.

Of all people, Obama is not playing that game and he should not.

My Friends.......this President gets no respect from the right. Republicans absolutely hate this man. A good man. I agree with the guy in the video, it is all race based. Republicans have waged war against Americans.

This kind of thing has never happened until Obama became President. The Republicans can't stand it...they hate this guy and will do anything to make him look bad.. They want him gone. Another great reason to detest Republicans.

One thing didn't get touched on about "what's different now" is simply: how long the RW spin cycle has been working at it to de-legitimize Democrats and Democratic presidents.

The major conservative bullshit-blasters have been pushing this since 1992. Rush Limbaugh pounded the idea that Clinton was "only technically" president because he only won a plurality of the vote rather than a majority (a point that did a Soviet-grade disappearing act in 2000). They trumped up bullshit scandal after bullshit scandal (Travelgate, anyone? Whitewater itself?) until they finagled a real one (and blew that beyond legitimate levels) all to foster a meme of corruption and illegitimacy. They encouraged disrespect, as when Jesse Helms suggested a mutiny could happen if Clinton visited a military base in his state.

They've been pounding this for years -- decades now -- at the presidential and congressional levels (when suddenly ACORN was cast a shadowy and swarthy-skinned new Tammany Tiger). An entire generation has come of age being constantly fed this. For some of these people, it's not a matter of tactics. They really just don't see the bullshit as bullshit.

So there's no reason to be surprised that some of these yahoos are fed up with what they see as standing by and letting them (Democrats) "get away with it" while they (Democrats) "destroy the country". They don't see themselves as arrogant jackasses, they think they're brave stalwarts rightly confronting a corrupt and evil power.

And that meshes very nicely with the dog-whistle racism that believes that Democrats just want to hand out other peoples' money to lazy, shiftless you-know-whos to buy votes, and so of course when the black Kenyan Muslim community-organizer usurper stole the office that would be his biggest priority (followed closely by grabbing their guns).

Add ice and blend in a FOX-brand RUSHBOmatic, and there's your high-fructose kool-aid smoothie. Serves millions. Or rather, served to millions for the benefit of the 0.1%

Oh wait, the male hooker was a friendly to the bushes. So I guess it doesn't really apply. But how insulting to the office of the president when a hooker is dressed up as a reporter to ask questions so the bush can answer an easy subject?

And what about when the US Secretary of Treasury told Raygun to "speed it up" in the middle of a speech Raygun was giving while holding the office of president?

RepubliCONS really have no respect for the office, or the man holding it. They just pretend to when it's convenient.
