Many states in the west have deemed cougars and wolves and coyotes as vermin so they can be trapped. I think some have come up with better management plans but I haven't been keeping up with those particular wildlife management plans lately.

It was tired and scared... many wild animals who are trapped but kept alive, or were intended to be kept alive, actually die from the shock of being handled and/or confined.

if you carried everything you might need for every eventuality up and over the mountains you would need to build a road and use a tractor trailer, or you could use a helicopter and try to lower what you need on a basket!
