Thom Hartmann: Republicans have Plotted Treason Now

What do you call it when a small group of Republicans gather to intentionally sabatoge an entire nation, just so their party can win political power off the pain of working Americans? Is it "treason"? Sedition? Or simply the most corrupt, evil, and petty sort of politics this town has seen since Newt Gingrich shut down the government and threw millions of Americans out of work because Bill Clinton had made him fly in the back of Air Force One?

The days of free and open press ended when the airwaves and channels were auctioned off in a foolish attempt to de-regulate them with everything else.

Give the control of anything over to the private sector without policing it and you give a hiearchical organization more power than one that is responsible to the people by election.

It is the definition of fascism by both Mussolini and FDR of what happens when private interests of corporations become more powerful that democratic institutions.

Ed show lead with this last night. I don't watch that show much just have it on in the background because I monitor everything corporate. Journalism should always be non profit, otherwise it always has an agenda.

This is how it goes. The fight is always to wrestle control away from the criminals. These days the identity of the criminals is pretty clear.

The first non-elected occupant of the White House lied to Congress, murdered a million Iraqis, and bankrupted the Country, just so he and his rich psychopath buddies get rich.

And it wasn't treason when the Reagan / Bush criminals traded arms for hostages, and ensured that the hostages were not released until after Reagan was sworn into office.

And it wasn't treason when Prescott Bush and his other rich criminal friends tried to get general Smedley Butler to have a military coup d'état against Roosevelt.

And it's never been treason every time the Democrats sweep Republican crimes under the rug because the country needs to heal song and dance.

I guess people who live in glass house shouldn't throw stones.

The only question we should have is, how low can psychopaths with financial and political power go, before they are charged with treason.

Technically. Treason might cover it, but what it really comes down to is fraud. Defrauding the public, stealing everything that isn't nailed down, lying to the people and devising a government run by people who don't believe in government.

And it will never be a crime, as long as honest citizens continue to elect bought and paid for, morally bankrupt, sycophant politicians who legalize crime, so financial and political criminals can operate without any restrictions from the laws of honest people.

In other words, the criminals who are committing treason, along with their accomplices, are the same criminals that honest people elect to define what treason is.

Thank you for being my teacher. I come to the Democratic Underground to learn as well but you have taught me sooooo much more. I type these words on a broken 'smart phone' that does not have the ability to open your videos but I don't need to see you as I get to hear you twice per day on AM 1090. My radio sits next to my bed and the channel never changes nor does the volume ever go down. AM 1090 even narrates my dreams! That said, this is my KnR for a video I can not see, because you have earned it....thank you sir.
