He tragically died in a plane crash with his family, just 11 days before his re-election.
There were many stories of suspicion about the nature of the plane failure and crash.
Many do believe he was deliberately killed along with his family.

Thank you for the remembrance of his sanity in our congress. He was a great man and great senator.

to the Progressives who spoke out against the Bush/Cheney invasion of Iraq. Paul Wellsone, like Bernie Sanders, was very, very courageous on this issue.

Wellstone knew, and so did most the rest of the Democrats, that this was wrong. Too few were brave enough to say so.
