7. And here's the kicker:

Sandoval withdrew his name because he has presidential ambitions for 2020 - which is nothing short of delusional given that most Republicans consider him a RINO. And a brown RINO besides (doubly unforgivable).

9. My advice to him would be: switch parties - to Independent while in office, to Democratic in 2019.

While Governor Sandoval is too far to the right for my taste - and, I dare say, most other Sanders supporters - he'd still have a place in the Democratic Party, and a running start for either 2020 (if we lose this year) or 2024 (if we win). He'd have to make a few policy changes; but a seasoned, highly talented old pol like him should have no trouble doing so.

If, on the other other hand, he insists on hitching his wagon to the GOP clown car, I see nothing but boos, hisses, "RINOs" and racial epithets for Governor Sandoval - and it would be a shame because he's better than that.

Time will tell.

Because corporatist republican POTUS will nominate a republican to the SCOTUS. Oh, wait....

3. A lot of what he's done has been right of center

At least in this case he probably wants to make the deal even if he has to pick what is hopefully and centrist republican.

4. Story is old. Sandoval pulled his name yesterday

Consider that his name was the only one leaked of several being considered.

IMO he was only included to pressure repugs to have hearing, no chance of being the nominee.

5. You know Obama is always trying to play mr. nice guy. I am sick of it.

If he does appoint a Republican, he will definitely ruin Hillary's chances of winning. The base is already pissed at Hillary. IF she gets the nomination, she can write off the base of the Dem Party. Let's hope Bernie gets the nomination. I agree Obama is really a center right Presidency doing just enough to keep the Dem base ''happy''.

6. That was just Harry Reid's little mind game with McConnell

The Republicans freaked at the very thought of it, and in very short order, the Nevada Republican withdrew his name. Round 2: Harry Reid.
