Rich Tech Bro: "I Don't Want To See Homeless Riff-Raff"

Justin Keller wrote a letter to the mayor of San Francisco asking him to remove the homeless “riff-raff” from the streets of the city. He says that rich people earned the right to live there and shouldn’t have to live in fear of being accosted

in SF, especially around the Market Street, civic center area, (where all the new tech companies are located) it is an enourmous problem. thousands of people on the street, urine smell everywhere, people locking wheelchairs to themselves and sleeping on the sidewalks. ugly scene there.

And SF spends a shit load of money, but it doesn't seem to help at all....

it seems that being inflammatory is the only way to shine a light on the subject. and this story has been everywhere this week. there are other threads here on this letter....

My girlfriend has been assaulted twice by San Francisco's roaming psychopaths. There isn't a lot of sympathy left among the people continually subjected to their antics.

SF is a bad place to not have enough money.....
the only reason I could afford to work there was because I had shared housing.
And that was over 10 years ago.....

and yes, sadly, the urine smell permeates a LOT of areas in SF.......

I've got a decent, if mostly right wing, support system. And the people here on DU helped me out a month or so ago, and for that I am very grateful. I got my car registered and all that, thanks to them....... (of course, the car it is broken down, starter)

It is very difficult, every singe penny counts. I am in way too much pain to try any kind of job (carpal tunnel extreme) and my GA runs out at the end of the month unless I can get my doctor to say I am unable to work (And my healthcare thing is another subject that is causing me great anxiety)
