(45,984 posts)When I think about this case, I also think about the man-made famine in the Ukraine in the late twenties and early thirties. While that was more horrific in both scale and consequence to the victims, both are examples of a tyrant doing willful harm to citizens he is supposed to protect for the purpose of imposing a quack socioeconomic system against their will. While some might consider such a comparison nuts because the children exposed to toxic water in Flint didn't starve to death like the children of Ukraine and their parents and grandparents, they will still suffer from serious harmful effects of this act of a willful tyrant for the rest of their lives. Like Stalin, Rick Snyder is a sociopathic criminal and should face justice. Snyder should be able to walk the streets and give public talks justifying his acts for the next quarter century as Stalin simply silenced anyone who as much as uttered a word about the Ukrainian famine for a quarter century after his victims starved.
