We lost so much more than a president 52 years ago... I agree with you

(20,453 posts)Many hours of listening here brought me up to date on what I was too young to understand when he died. I learned so much about JFK's background and understanding of wars of aggression, certainly what the CIA was capable of. Anyway, it's a very thorough archive of him certainly.

I watched the whole thing.
For the last three years I have been dedicating my efforts to a local peace group. in order to educate the public and organize peaceful political activities, and to lobby our elected officials to move money from Defense to Health care, Education, and Environmental Protection.
I have become so discouraged lately--between the mass shootings, the xenophobia, the profiteering from rhetoric of hate--that I have felt like giving up.
Listening to this speech restored my hope (and my patriotism).
Is this from CSPAN's archives?
