Jews Are Fleeing Russia Because Of Putin

AP tried to put a positive spin on this story for some reason, but the reality is ugly:

Spooked by Russia's actions in Ukraine and by the increasingly stringent punishments for anyone deemed critical of the Kremlin, Russians of Jewish descent have been fleeing in droves over the past 18 months.

Surge From Eastern Europe

According to Israeli authorities, as many as 4,685 Russian citizens relocated to Israel in 2014 -- more than double than in any of the previous 16 years.

And the trend seems to be accelerating.

The nongovernmental Jewish Agency for Israel has released figures showing a 40-percent surge in immigration to the country between January and March of this year, compared to the same period in 2014.

2. More misleading "narrative". JAI has their report on the website anyone can look at.

Nothing is mentioned about the increase from Russia, however they did point out that the largest increases in immigrants are coming from France and Ukraine due to rising hostility toward Jews and economic factors.

Updated edit: I found more info. in 2012 3,545 immigrated. So there was no "2x" as many increase. JIA increased their sponsorship programs in 2013 so more immigrants are relocating from all over the world.
