Bernie Won Saturday’s Debate By Defending Veterans

During Saturday’s debate, Bernie Sanders discussed the role that climate change plays in national security, as well as the human cost of the United States’ warmongering. For those reasons, he emerged as the clear victor in the 2nd democratic debate.

2. Wouldn't it be something if we truly meant "thank you for your service"?

If we put them in danger ONLY as a last resort, with a strategy to get them out of danger once the mission truly was completed?

If we showed them, with actions, that we are grateful and care about them once they returned home with AN ABUNDANCE of medical, mental and financial support?...education, retraining, counseling, etc?

We have been fucking over these brave men and women who volunteer to serve and protect their country, and it's little better now than it was after WWI. An American tragedy!

The cost of war doesn't stop at the water's edge. It continues for decades and longer.
