and recommended!

Watch this damn thing!

When Bernie Sanders says, "The Iraq War is this nation's greatest foreign policy blunder." he is not just saying it to garner votes from potential Hillary voters. He is saying it because it is the new context through which we must start to view the world.

"If they destroy ISIS, they'll have something MORE extreme on their hands."

This is result that stems from stoking up the American fear and war mongering mantra to invade Iraq. That mindset - invading/occupying countries we have NO right to (it WAS an invasion and occupation) results in creating these terror groups.

It's as if the goal to go along with the Project for the New American Century was to plant seeds of endless war. We've done a very fine job of that. Anyone with vision to see where we would heading would know that. WE knew that (or as least many of us knew) that in our core.

WE have to put an END to these acts of hegemony across the world. We have to stop thinking in terms of the world's resources belonging to the biggest invading force. That mindset should have withered out after the first and certainly second world war. Instead, we allowed the CIA to clear the path of dominance for us sticking our head where we do not belong. We stand to create more peace in the world with this realization.

But he's right a lot of the time. I think he's especially right in laying out how the United States' repeated foreign policy blunders created the environment which made ISIS possible, and the Saudi connection is impossible to ignore.

I guess where I sometimes depart from Chomsky or perhaps others in this forum is in the solution to the problem. What exactly do we do now? Do we simply ignore ISIS? Do we allow Syria's map to be redrawn to permit an Islamic caliphate? It's a conundrum. We want to rid the world of this scourge, but in a lot of ways, our cures are often worse than the disease. No easy answers here, I'm afraid.

We all know this. I've seen this video before. I posted it before. But as long as the news excludes people like Barsamian and Naom, no one knows what's really going on, unless they're bright.

It's the Pentagon. However, there is more. As long as we're using this means of energy, we are responsible. Every time you fill up with gas, you are asking for oil companies, and eventually the war machine, to subsidize the lavish lifestyle you live.

We've had the answers for forty years, but it's just too much to ask of us to lower our standard of living.
