Papantonio: Obama Rejects Keystone…What About All The Other Pipelines?

Last week, President Obama denied permission for the Keystone XL Pipeline’s construction. While this is great news on the surface, it becomes less exciting when you realize that 12,000 miles of pipelines have been built by the United States since 2010.

Ring of Fire’s Mike Papantonio and Farron Cousins discuss this.

It really points up the ignorance of those who screamed the loudest against the pipeline.

and I salute the brave coalitions that were put together by Bold Nebraska to end the Keystone.

We need the focus to now turn to the pipelines thru South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and my state of Illinois.

These pipelines have been given the go-ahead by our PTB in these states and land is being taken from private citizens to build these pipelines for CORPORATIONS.

These pipelines and their product that they carrry not only threaten the rivers, aquifers and precious farm land/forests that they travel thru as they are notorious for the leaks that occur with this corrosive material --- but here's the kicker

We the People are bearing the risk of environmental disaster, losing our land to eminent domain ONLY for the profit of Private Corporations -- and many Foreign owned Corporations at that.

I think they could have hit this harder in the video -- grateful it's being talked about. But they are not covering the People factor in all this.

This is devastating ranchers/farmers who have had these farms in their family for generations.
This is devastating to the tribes who have been faithful stewards of their land for millennia.

What will it take to stop this?
