10. That's an old and thoroughly debunked creationist argument.

In reality, the way evolution actually works is that beneficial changes are kept and built upon, thus a jetliner could be built this way given enough time. The example Richard Dawkins has used is a monkey typing out the phrase "Now is the time for all good men to ...." If you kept the correct letters and threw out the bad letters each time the monkey banged on the keyboard, the monkey would type the sentence very quickly. Dawkins wrote a software routine that did it during his lunch break! Creationists are like children. Remember, prayer always works better if you take the antibiotics.

It's funny like blowing up a box full of clowns.

6. If you blow up a box full of clowns, will it produce an organized circus?

You may need to blow up an infinite number of clown boxes, I suppose. And an infinite number of tornados hitting junkyards will eventually reveal a monkey who can scribble down the complete text of Hamlet. That kind of actually happened. The monkey's name was William Shakespeare.

Personally, I also question the Big Bang Theory, or at least the Cosmic Inflation part of the theory. Cosmic Inflation always seems a little contrived to me. The Universe seems too big for the Big Bang Theory to explain, so let's imagine that during a very tiny fraction of a second shortly after the Bang, the laws of physics as we know them did not apply and the universe somehow grew faster than the speed of light. Sounds fishy to me.

Carson, though, seems to aim for an argument that will support Intelligent Design and prove the existence of his version of God. But why couldn't a really powerful, really smart deity use a Big Bang to create Its intelligently designed universe?

Faster than the speed of light appears to be the case with "quantum entanglement." There is so much we do not know...

11. Matters of Faith vs. Science Aside, the REAL Issue with Ben Carson's Candidacy IS:

That he has absolutely NO experience, and probably NO skill or ability, to run, govern, or administer anything! What the HECK does neurosurgery have to do with government or governing??? If he should ever get elected, heaven forbid, and try to put his "gifted hands" to governing, the chances that he could actually do it right are about the same as that hurricane in the junkyard producing the 747, ready to fly. At least his main rival, Donald Trump, for all his faults, has some actual experience and ability in the running or administration of something - his business empire, and has some experience negotiating and making deals. Neurosurgery and governing require totally different skill sets...

So, Ben Carson is a man of faith, and believes in intelligent design, that the universe did not happen at random. I also believe in intelligent design, and in a Higher Power. But, in connection with his appealing to people of faith, there is one other thing about Ben Carson that worries me even more than his personal religious views - it's his propensity towards disingenuously fabricating important events in his life story, just to present a narrative that appeals to gullible conservative white evangelicals... now THAT'S really scary!

Republican voters are so falouting (or frigging) desperate to pick someone who is a total outsider to the gridlock in Washington that they came up with this guy. And they're so desperate to show that they're not really racist, in spite of their virulent opposition to Obama - who has exceptional intelligence and aptitude for governing, by the way - that they are picking this black guy, Ben Carson. In their desperation to pick someone who is as far away from the gridlock in Washington as you can get, Republican voters are in TOTAL denial that it was Republican legislators who caused the gridlock in the first place, and don't want to accept responsibility for it.
