Pap and Ed Schultz: TPP Is Scary, What It Does To Food Safety Is Even Scarier

Late last week the full text of the Trans Pacific Partnership was released, and there’s nothing in this deal that should Americans feel warm and fuzzy. This is a massive corporate giveaway, and one area in particular that’s in danger is our food safety.

Mike Papantonio discusses this with Ed Schultz.

Glad I don't eat beef or pork. However, the TPP will affect all the other food I DO eat. nt valerief Nov 2015 #1

Join the Call -- TPP Text Is Out, What's Next?

Stop Secret Trade Deals The text of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) was just released — so what does that mean for us?

The TPP is a massive trade deal that was written and designed by multinational corporations to benefit their bottom line. If passed, it would undermine our democracy, threaten food safety, increase fracking and more. The text was just released, and it's even worse than we originally thought.

We're hosting a call to give you the inside update on what's in the TPP and what's next.

National Call — TPP Text Is Out, What's Next?
When: Thursday, 11/12 from 8 to 9 p.m. ET

Every single analysis I have heard now that it is out is it is worse, in every respect, than even the biggest critics thought.

i tried to reach out to Jon Stewart to get him to discuss the TPP while he still had a show on - but all emails in are blocked. (or were - his show is no longer on.)

Colbert is a mere caricature of who he once was - although I enjoy his Late Night Show, it lacks any political will at all. very mainstream. (YAWN)

Is there a way to have Larry Wilmore with his Nightly News program handle this one? I even thought up a clever idea - the TPP stands for the "toilet paper prohibition" law - with the "TV journalists discussing how awful it will be to have to go back to using corn husks, and then some expert on the TPP coming on and telling the audience what it really is.
