TYT: ANOTHER Black Man Dies In Police Custody

Cops arrested Alonzo Smith under suspicion he was involved in a robbery. He died in police custody days later. His colleagues at the special needs school he worked with all described him as a model teacher. Seemingly a boy scout. Cenk Uygur, host of the The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.

A 27-year-old man died after he was found handcuffed in the custody of private police officers in Washington, according to the Metropolitan Police Department, which said Tuesday it was investigating.

D.C. police said officers responded to a report of an "assault in progress" on Sunday at a residential building in Southeast Washington. They found the man, identified as Alonzo Smith, in the custody of what city police said were "special police officers working at the location." Special police officers are licensed by the District of Columbia, and city police must sign off on their application for the job.

Smith was found handcuffed, unconscious and not breathing, police said. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died.

Based on information about similar incidents and that you are most likely correct.

Speaking of feelings, I feel like a beachball with the valve opened. Deflated. I'm over sensitive I suppose but this shit just flatens me to the ground with despair. I have not gotten over Trayvon Martin, yet. I ache for the families loss.

I'll try to get over my depressive pessimism and get into a meditation state and send love and light and compassion.

Hate and pity are dysfunctional emotions, I keep telling myself. But god Dammit, this kicks my ass.

I'm still not over Trayvon Martin either. I might have gotten over it if so many non thinking people wouldn't defend and excuse George Zimmerman.
