This link takes you to an interactive map showing his political and business connections, double click on the objects with a "+" in the upper RH corner and see who pops up... very revealing.

Same way we teach people who is important and who to be afraid of.

(34,661 posts)Remember this,he is the Guy who had his staff hack into Ted Kennedy's E-Mail accounts in order to stymie Democratic Legislation. And he is one of the leading anti FDA rules when it comes to the Supplement Manufacturing which Utah is the leader. Most of that industry is a for profit owned or controlled by a entity called FARM which is a holding company for the LDS church.

(24,720 posts)of state rights and federal rights by Orrin Hatch.
Think about this for a minute, he stood in the chamber of the senate spewing this right wing crap (over 21 minutes) denouncing federal over reach and everything is a left wing conspiracy against state rights and getting paid the federal benefits from you and me.
To do what ....................what has he really done in the last twenty years, how many bills has he presented-------------how many?
He was thinking about the religious freedom while on another vacation from Congress, while human beings in his state and across the country are standing on street corners with a card board sign begging for money, And then getting in his left wing conspiracy tin foil hat on the so called attacks from the left wing, and then adding in his rant and getting ready for the old Thanksgiving and Christmas spirit rant,------------- right, Hatch
How many times has he attacked other human beings by voting for laws to hurt other human beings, don't give me a lecture of your concept of religious crap
All the public gets are his lectures of his rendition of left wing conspiracies--------------really
Standing there in his $1,000 plus dollar suits, doing his double talk of Blah-Blah-Blah and has not presented one jobs bill, one unemployment benefit bill, nothing, but giving everyone a lecture of what he thinks about a president and what he was thinking on religion.
The same president that was having an affair while being married
And then, his self righteous religious leader was into bigamy----------------do woman have rights under this doctrine of Mormonism
Hey, Hatch what is your concept of morality, because your quotes and whatever you were doing are nothing more than a concept of ripping off the public.
Because your rant is not only for self serving for the ego, but I think people are really tired of your rants of right wing hypocrisy and conspiracy of lecturing down to other human beings

(1,782 posts)The First Amendment does not say what the Supreme Court says it means and what most of us think of it as meaning. It does not grant freedom from religion. About religion, it says only "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." It says nothing about restricting states from establishing religion.
But freedom of and from religion is essential to the American way of life. As long as that freedom is granted only by a Supreme Court interpretation, it can be taken away by another Supreme Court interpretation. How about an amendment to the Constitution that keeps religion out of public life -- federal, state, and local? You know, the way it mostly is now.
I'm uncomfortable with interpretations of law and the Constitution to mean something very different from what they say.
