Utter chaos at Florida's Okaloosa County School Board meeting.

I could swear heard the 2nd speaker say "deliver us from pizza" and "thine is the kingdom of the pesto and alfredo". Found at a Daily Kos diary.

You might need to turn your speakers down when they really get going.

Lots of references to pasta sauces, pizza, garlic bread, ramen (amen) and noodles. He also named Greek and Roman gods and goddesses, Buddha, Krishna, and probably several others that I missed. Also mentions atheists, humanists, and agnostics.

This would be hilarious if it weren't so fucking scary that these nuts are dead serious. The blood of jesus guy was only slightly scarier than the rapturous, creepy singers. I wonder how they would have reacted to a person dressed in Islamic garb, or even wearing a yarmulke. They want religious freedom? Sure they do.

My dad could never figure out why I didn't want to move to Florida. I wish this had been around while he was alive and that he'd been computer literate enough to handle email, I'd have sent it to him as Exhibit A.

Not to mention Florida is a steambath with flying cockroaches and too many stupid Republicans.

we have them here in Texas, right along with stupid Republicans.

Never forget: Karl Rove and George W Bush cooked this stew up in Texas.

Never forget: The Democratic Party allowed it to happen.

how Trump and Carson and Cruz and all can command attention! I could envision someone opening up with a semi-automatic here. This could drive an unstable sort over the edge.

Western part of Florida panhandle. Cities include Ft Walton Beach, Destin, and Crestview. Much of Eglin AFB is located there. Solidly red, maybe 75-80% republican.
Although Florida has more than its share of wackos, many areas aren't that batshit crazy.

" And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. 6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”

I think I love this guy!

I tell you what, he had a hell of a lot of nerve standing up to that crowd, especially at the end. I wish I'd been there to support him. I can't sing any more, but used to be able to sing like an opera singer. Would loved to have blown out the room with that.

If anybody still thinks we need less federal control of education and that our country should let locals run their school systems, please try to watch this again. I truly feel for the children being raised in this community. Another example of why religion should be kept out of the public's business.
